31 SHADES OF HIM…EPISODE 9

The office was silent for a while with Sarah obviously scared until Mr. David stamped on his table and yelled. “Speak up lady; I don’t have the whole day just to stare at you.” He said looking at her. Sarah was startled but she composed herself immediately and adjusted her posture on the seat. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she started speaking. “My team mates have no fault in our failure to submit our task. To be honest, they all tried their best and carried out their responsibilities; especially John. He has been a good leader and did all he could to save the team but I was so blind and enticed with jealousy and hatred to think that he was just trying to rule us.” Sarah said as she paused a little. She gulped slowly and continued talking.

“I was responsible for the submission of the team’s task but I failed to do that deliberately because someone among the board members has been messing with my head. I was made to believe that my team will fall anyway so they made me sabotage my team and promised me a secured slot. I was devastated when I found out they were just using me to please their partner. I was even more devastated when I remembered that I made the hard work of my team mates go in vain and I shatter their future. I don’t think I can take the guilt so I have to come clean and confess.” Sarah said as she slowly handed a flash drive to Mr. David. He collected it and insert it in his computer immediately. “That is the work we were supposed to submit but I failed my people due to my selfish interest. You would believe when I told you that no other team has something similar in quality to that.” She said looking at him.

“I know I am a bad person and my reckless and selfish behavior has already caused my team’s fate. But you should be considerate and save the others. I will take full responsibility of everything and they shouldn’t be punished for what they didn’t do. I wish you will consider this and not make their hard work go in vain. Those people are talents and they will just have a wasted life out there if not nurtured.” Sarah pleaded with tears on her face. Mr. David sighed deeply after he watched the documentary. He leaned forward on the table and faced Sarah. “Who is the person that made you do this?” He asked looking at her with a serious face.

Sarah took a deep breath again. “It was Celina.” She said briefly. The reaction on Mr. David’s face scared her. He was shocked and furious while Sarah handed him another flash drive. They were exchanging farewells as Alvin intended heading back to the north when their phones beeped at the same time. It was suspicious so they checked immediately. “Holy fuck!” They shouted together staring at each other…
